Facebook

Facebook is social website that millions of people use today. I have many different thoughts about Facebook and not all of them a good or bad. Facebook to me is something i can go on every once and a while just because i am bored and have nothing else to do. To many people Facebook is a huge thing and they just completely overuse it.
I like Facebook because i can go on it to message a friend or just to see what is going on to kill time for something to do. Facebook can also be used to make times for meetings or schedule a time and date to hangout with friends. You can also use it if you need to get someones phone number that you might need so that you can call them. In someways Facebook is convenient but there are a lot more things that weigh it down.
Facebook can be a really bad thing to have if you miss use it. Many people don't realize how much time they actually spend on Facebook until they look at the clock and it and three hours have past sense the last time they looked at it. People just plainly spend too much time on it when they could be doing other much useful things. People could go hangout with some friends and actually talk to them instead of just talking over a computer or phone and wasting their time. Also i think that it is ridiculous how much people post on Facebook. People are constantly posting any little thing on Facebook, its like they post every little thing they do there. I honestly don't think that people really care what you are doing every second of your day so i just think that Facebook is a big waste of time.

Our school should invest in gettig students labtops

I believe that our school should invest in buying the students at MCHS personal laptops to use all throughout the day. I am sure that if any kid at our school was asked if they would like to have a laptop that they could use to do their school work on they would more and likely say yes. If we had our own personally laptops it would be so helpful and make the long school day a little bit easier for us as students. I  can only see positive things in my mind when I think about what it would be like if we got them and were able to do all of our school work on them. If we had these computers we could do pretty much everything on them, like our homework, we could do all of our homework on these computers for every class we have and be able just to show the teacher our work. We could also take all of our notes on them and it would make everything so organized because we could have a separate folder for every class and be able to access it whenever we choose. And instead of going to our lockers after every class to get the materials we need for the next class we could just use the computer. If we never had to go to our lockers during school we would never be late because we would always have what we need at all times. Our teachers could even give us our tests on the computer which would be a lot more convenient because there wouldn’t be papers all over the place. Many other people would also agree with it because it would be considered going green sense we would no long be cutting down as many trees to use for classroom paper. I believe that with these computers we could not only learn many things from them but they would make school a little bit easier and really what would it hurt? Let’s get them!

Hockey

This weekend we went to Souix City Iowa to play the Souix City Musketeers. Out of the four games we played we ended up winning two of them. On Saturday the JV team played at 3:15 and the game didn’t go our way the first two periods. We were down 3-1 at the end of the second period and we knew that we needed to work harder if we were going to win this game. At the end of the game we ended up losing 4-3. In contrast on Sunday we played the same team again but this time it went a lot better for us. We completely turned the way we played on Saturday around and ended up winning 4-1! I ended up getting two of our four goals so that was really cool and whenever you get a goal your team gets really pumped up and that’s a big deal in order to win a hockey game. After the JV game on Saturday, was the Varsity game which was a very big game for us. Before the game coach talked to us and told us that we need to win as many games from now on in order to make it to state. The worst thing in many players’ eyes is not making it to state after all the hard work you go through. That really pumped us up and made us work our hardest for a win; we ended up winning that game 4-1. On Sunday the Varsity game was crazy because we were short of players because of fights in the previous game. Because we didn’t have all our players some of us were expected to play a lot more than usual and it is exhausting not getting the breaks you usually do. We were down 3 to 1 going into the 2^nd period and we started the period on the penalty kill. Ike, AJ, Ben and I were the ones send out to kill the penalty but as we were doing that we ended up getting 2 short-handed goals. The game went into overtime; we were tied 4-4. The game did not end the way we wanted it to because they ended up scoring and winning the game giving a loss of 5-4
